McCrary Park was constructed in 1946 following the end of Second World War by the McCrary Mills. The park served as the new home for the highly successful McCrary Eagles, the Mill’s Industrial league team from 1946-1957. The park would go on to serve as home for the Asheboro Post 45 following the revival of the program in the late 50’s.

McCrary Park remains an integral part of  Asheboro baseball today. The park currently is home to the Asheboro Copperheads, as well as, the Asheboro Blue Comets Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, Post 45’s Junior Legion and Legion programs. The park is in use 10 months out of the year welcoming over 60,500 fans annually.
